EASTER AT SAGEMONT

(01)

The Project

Photographer and video editor for Easter at Sagemont, one of the largest worship gatherings of the year at Sagemont Church in Houston, Texas — spanning one Good Friday service, one Saturday service, a Sunrise service, and three Easter morning services with over 6,000 in attendance across all six.

For the occasion, I was tasked with creating the cinematic opener that launched four of the six services — a dramatic visual piece built to carry the weight of the Passion narrative from creation to Christ. Working from an original script by Candace Rogers, narration by Chuck Davenport, and an original score by Chris Delaney, I directed the visual style and edited the piece entirely — translating the music and spoken word into a sequence of imagery that moved from the cosmos to the cross. Stock footage and motion elements were assembled in Final Cut Pro to create something that felt both expansive and intimate.

Photography coverage spanned the full weekend — behind the scenes, stage setups, congregation moments, portraits, and the services themselves.
